Dental veneers are a great option here at Monmouth Dental Arts for fixing any cosmetic issues with the smile. Whether it’s, you know, slight crowding, chipping of the teeth, if we want to change the shade or the shape of the teeth, dental veneers are a beautiful, nice, quick option in order to do so. Our process, we work with a local dentist, dental ceramist, so she makes veneers by hand.
I do a very conservative approach to the preparation. My goal is to leave as much natural tooth structure as we can in order to make sure that the teeth underlying are healthier. We can also do what’s called a diagnostic wax-up beforehand.
What a wax-up is, is my ceramist will in wax on a model, make what your teeth will look like with the permanent veneers. From there, we can then use a stent to actually transfer temporary material from that wax-up into your mouth, so you can actually test drive what the final veneers would look like without ever putting a drill or needle or anything like that anywhere near you.
