Dr. Nicole Elia is a Passionate Lifelong Learner
A proud New Jersey native, Dr. Nicole Elia is delighted to return to her home state after five years of honorable service as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Elia earned her dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She then completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, where she focused on multidisciplinary and hospital-based dentistry. During this time, she cared for a diverse population of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. She later transferred to MCAS Cherry Point in eastern North Carolina, where she continued to provide high-quality care to sailors and marines.
Her military service helped shape her strong clinical skills, effective communication, and leadership abilities. A passionate lifelong learner, Dr. Elia has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education across multiple dental specialties. She is currently advancing her training at the prestigious Pankey Institute, a nationally recognized center for comprehensive, patient-centered dental education. Dr. Elia is also a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
Now happily returned to New Jersey with her husband, Mark, and their two sons, Matteo and Emilio, Dr. Elia is thrilled to be part of the team at Monmouth Dental Arts! Outside of the office, Dr. Elia enjoys spending quality time with her boys, who keep her on her toes and full of laughs. She is enjoying the adventure of exploring their new home at the Jersey Shore, soaking in both the excitement and nostalgia of boardwalk strolls and enjoying the beach life. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll find her diving into a good documentary—or indulging in a little reality TV!
