So here at Monmouth Dental Arts, we practice the all-on-four or all-on-X implant process. What that entails is we take a set of records to plan to take out any remaining, you know, bad teeth in a patient’s mouth, or if they don’t have teeth and come in with a denture, place a full arch or full mouth of implants and place a fixed restoration over that. The fixed restoration will look, feel, and function just like natural teeth, and it’s screwed in so you can never take it out, only we can take it out in the office.
What’s nice about that is nobody wants to have to take their teeth out every night or, you know, have something that’s just flopping around when they’re chewing, speaking, things like that. I have never had someone that was in a denture that went to an all-on-X or all-on-four procedure say, oh my god, I missed my denture. The implant process is a much better outcome, better functionality than a denture ultimately will be.
